Job Description:
- Performing the mechanical rotating related system inspection, pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities of all Shell premise plant or facility including compressor, generator, pump, crane, HVAC and associated equipment vessel, piping, heat exchanger, motor, instrumentation, control etc and ensure all construction and (pre)commissioning ITRs (checked sheets) are witnessed and signed off in accordance with project technical requirement and company HSSE standards.
- Ensuring site mechanical rotating equipment and person is compiled to company project and asset and local statutory requirement such as ASME, DOSH and DEPS.
- To execute the commissioning execution plan and schedule for both onshore pre-comm or commissioning and offshore CSU of mechanical engineering related
- Review and comment on contractor commissioning deliverable such as lube oil flushing, equipment levelling, alignment, spading, isolation and de-isolation plan, CTP, fabrication plan, work-pack, commissioning material and consumable (type of first fill, spare part, special tool, bolt & nut size, type & valve)
- Cooperative with engineering or design team provide inputs to improve operability or maintainability/HAZOP to ensure facilities integrity and incorporate requirement for (pre) commissioning and start up, especially the provision of commissioning consumables and spare.
- Coordinate with project or construction team on construction mechanical completion and interface with other discipline commissioning engineers for integrated system testing and commissioning activities and ensure all the temporary equipment are available.
- Supervise mechanical related punch lists or outstanding works with plan or priority in place and technically sign off and close-out of punch list items.
- Working with ORA team to ensure that all mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up activities are performed to their requirements and all performance tests of safety critical elements meet their performance standards requirements.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the “As built” drawing; perform ‘red line’ mark up.
Competencies & Skills
- Familiar with project completion System Working
- Familiar and hand-on prepare the SMEP ITR-A and ITR-B, Commissioning test plan.
- Proficient in written and oral both English & Malay
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Team player
- Medical Fit for offshore
- Willing to go to offshore and travel by air or water transport.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Mechanical
Working Experience
- Diploma Holder – minimum 8 years hands-on-the-job experience in Oil & Gas facilities and 6 years’ experience project commissioning or maintenance in Mechanical Rotating
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience working related with Mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance preferable in SMEP engineering projects other.
